    Our Warranty Commitment

    At Kiwiplay NZ, we stand behind the quality and safety of every piece of playground equipment we sell. Our products are built to last and designed to give your family years of outdoor fun with confidence.

    Warranty Coverage

    All Kiwiplay NZ playground equipment, kits, swings, and slides come with the following warranty coverage from the date of purchase:

    • Structural components (playground structure itself): 10 years against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Playgrounds must be sealed within 60 days of assembly, and bi-annually after this.
    • Moving parts and hardware (brackets, hinges, connectors): 2 years against manufacturing defects.
    • Swings, ropes, and accessories: 1-2 years against manufacturing defects, depending on the product. See individual product details.
      • All playground kit-set accessories have a 2 year warranty.

    What's Covered

    • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
    • Structural failure under normal residential use
    • Rust or corrosion occurring within the warranty period on coated components. 
    • Replacement of defective parts or, at our discretion, replacement of the affected product.

    What's Not Covered

    • Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or modification of the product
    • Normal wear and tear from regular use
    • Damage from severe weather, including high winds, flooding, or seismic activity
    • Damage caused by inadequate ground preparation or anchoring
    • Products used in multi-residential use set-ups, commercial or public settings.
      •  UNLESS the item states it is commercial grade.
    • Cosmetic issues that do not affect the structural integrity or safety of the product
    • Products purchased from unauthorised resellers

    How to Make a Warranty Claim

    1. Gather your details: Have your order number, date of purchase, and product name ready.
    2. Take photos: Capture clear images of the defect or damage, including close-ups and wide shots showing the product in context.
    3. Contact us: Email support@kiwiplay.nz with your order details, photos, and a brief description of the issue.
    4. Assessment: Our team will review your claim within 5 business days and advise on the next steps, which may include a request for additional information.
    5. Resolution: Approved claims will result in replacement parts or product replacement at no cost to you, including freight within New Zealand.

    Care and Maintenance Tips

    To keep your playground equipment in top condition and protect your warranty:

    • Inspect hardware regularly and tighten any loose bolts or connections.
    • Check moving parts (swings, hinges) for wear and lubricate as needed.
    • Clean surfaces with mild soap and water — avoid harsh chemicals or pressure washers.
    • Re-treat or re-coat wooden components annually with an appropriate wood preservative.
    • Ensure the play area remains well-drained and free of standing water.
    • Remove debris, leaves, and snow accumulation from platforms and roofs.
